On September 17, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming 42 students and 4 teachers to our company. For the students, the visit was a great opportunity to get to know our company and gain a first impression of various apprenticeship programs.
To start, management introduced the companies KERAFOL® and Koppe and explained how the original idea behind the development of the heat-conducting films came about. Among other things, they discussed what we manufacture, the sectors in which we operate, and the tasks we handle in our day-to-day work. This was a great opportunity, especially for students who may not yet know exactly what career path they want to pursue, to learn about different fields.
Afterward, we toured various departments within our company. During the tour, the students were able to see firsthand how we work and the different tasks involved in each department. I think this hands-on insight is particularly interesting because it gives you a much better sense of the company and what your future workday will be like than if someone were just telling you about it.
Of course, some light refreshments were a must. Drinks, cheese with pretzels, and popcorn were available for visitors, so everyone could take a quick break to refuel.
After the tour, the various apprenticeship programs were presented once again. This gave the students the opportunity to learn about the opportunities available at our company, what each profession entails, and how an apprenticeship with us works.
As an apprentice, I find it especially exciting to take part in these school visits. I can share my own experiences about what it was like to start my career and what everyday life is like during my apprenticeship. At the same time, I also get to hear the questions and interests the students bring to the table.
Overall, it was a varied and successful visit. The combination of a company presentation, a tour, and information about our apprenticeship programs gave the students a good insight into our work environment.
We hope the students came away with many interesting impressions and that perhaps some of them are now interested in learning more about our apprenticeship programs.
