My car provides active safety for me and other road users. To ensure that my car charges properly and safely at the charging station, charging levels are monitored and regulated. My internal combustion engine is also controlled to release as few pollutants as possible. In a medical emergency, a variety of devices ensure that my condition is constantly monitored and that corrective action can be taken if problems arise. My oil and gas can be delivered safely to my home because small devices continuously travel through the pipelines to check their condition. How does my washing machine know what 90°C is?
We owe all these conveniences to small but sophisticated electronic components known as sensors.
KERAFOL® develops, manufactures, and distributes base materials—known as ceramic substrates and tapes—for the production of sensors. Because our components are based on high-performance ceramics, your sensors are resistant to harsh environments, such as high temperatures up to at least 1000°C, corrosive substances (acids/alkalis), and moisture.
Our materials are also considered biocompatible. The materials we use have been well-established in hip and knee prosthetics for many years.
