Philosophy

KERAFOL - Keramische Folien GmbH was founded in 1985 and has over
200 employees at the moment. We develope and manufacture ceramic tapes for versatile applications with a special manufacturing process. These tapes may then be used unsintered as a final product or sintered being used as a planar ceramic component.

Because of KERAFOL's long expertise with oxidic and non-oxidic ceramic, KERAFOL GmbH has become one of the world's leaders in ceramic foil production, and an important manufacturer of technical ceramics.

Ceramic foils are manufactured using a continuous process, on modern production equipment using cutting edge technology. They can be obtained as a continuous material or separate cut to size pieces. They are available in thicknesses of 80 mm up to several millimetres.

Kerafol has developed a wide product range, used in many different areas of application. (Microelectronics / Thermal Management, Filtration, Sensor technology, SOFC fuel cells, LTCC technology to name a few….).
